Anyone can print a name on a sign. What makes a laser-engraved piece different is what makes it last.
Laser engraving physically removes material from the surface — it doesn't apply ink or vinyl that can scratch, peel, or fade. A family name sign we engrave today will look the same in 30 years. That's what makes it worth hanging on the wall. Printing can't make that promise. Engraving can.
Every piece is made individually — not mass-produced in a factory. We engrave each sign, frame, and wall piece one at a time in our Estero studio. That means consistent quality, personal attention to detail, and a finished piece that wasn't made by a machine in a warehouse in another state.
We send a digital proof of your exact piece before engraving anything — your name, your layout, your design, on the actual substrate. You review it and request changes for free until it's exactly right. We don't engrave a single letter without your approval. That's how it should work.

Almost always yes. If you have a specific design concept — a particular layout, a combination of elements, a unique shape — send us a description or a sketch and we'll let you know if it's achievable. Custom designs that require original artwork may take a bit longer and carry a small design fee; we'll be upfront about this in your quote before any work begins.
We work with a range of wood materials including Baltic birch plywood (clean, light-colored, great for detailed engravings), MDF (smooth finish, excellent for painted pieces), hardwoods like maple and walnut for premium pieces, and basswood for lighter decorative work. The right wood depends on your design and finish preference — we'll make a recommendation in your quote.
Our laser machine accommodates pieces up to approximately 20" x 28" in a single pass, with options for larger pieces using a tiling technique. For custom large-format pieces like oversized family signs or statement wall art, text us the dimensions you're looking for and we'll tell you what's achievable and how we'd approach it.
