Laser etching, laser engraving, laser marking — it's all the same service. Palm Coast Customs does custom laser etching on wood, acrylic, glass, leather, and tumblers in Estero, Florida. Woman-owned. Ships nationwide.
Most people use "laser etching," "laser engraving," and "laser marking" interchangeably — and they're right to. At Palm Coast Customs in Estero, Florida, I use a Thunder Nova 51 CO₂ laser to permanently mark, etch, and engrave on wood, acrylic, glass, leather, and powder-coated metals. If you've been searching for laser etching near you in Southwest Florida, you found it.
3mm Baltic birch, maple, walnut, and bamboo. Family name signs, cutting boards, awards, home décor, and business signage. Deep contrast etching that lasts forever.
Rowmark LaserMax acrylic for professional signage, plaques, and awards. The laser etches the top layer to reveal a contrasting core — sharp, consistent, polished.
Wine glasses, pint glasses, whiskey glasses, and decanters. A defocus technique produces a frosted matte etch — permanent through the dishwasher, clean from across the table.
Genuine leather patches, keychains, coasters, and bookmarks. The laser darkens the surface permanently — natural and intentional-looking, with depth you can feel.
YETI, Polar Camel, and Stanley tumblers with powder-coat or anodized finishes. The laser removes the coating to reveal bright metal beneath — sharp and permanent.

Tell us what you want etched, what it's for, and your deadline. A photo of the item helps. We respond the same business day.

They're used interchangeably in everyday conversation and for practical purposes describe the same result — a permanent mark made by a laser beam. Technically, "etching" refers to surface-level marking while "engraving" refers to deeper material removal, but for the products and materials I work with, the visual result is the same.
Yes. The laser either burns the surface material (wood, leather) or removes a coating (tumblers, anodized metal) to create the mark. It doesn't fade, peel, or wash off. On glass, the defocus etch is permanent through the dishwasher. On tumblers, the engraved area is the bare metal — nothing left to chip or fade.
Yes — grayscale photos can be raster etched onto wood and some other materials. The result is a black-and-white interpretation of the photo, depth varying with the original image's contrast. Vector artwork with clean lines produces the sharpest results. I'll let you know what format works best for your specific design.
