What I Make for Sports Teams
Individual Player Award Plaques
The most common order: a full team set of matching plaques, each engraved with a different player's name and position. On my Thunder Nova 51, I can run a full batch of identical plaques in a single session — the team name and logo are engraved identically on each piece, and the player-specific names are variable.
I use 3mm Baltic birch for warm, hang-on-the-wall pieces and Rowmark LaserMax acrylic for something more modern and polished. Both materials produce sharp results. Baltic birch is especially popular for youth awards because it looks handcrafted rather than mass-produced.
What to send me:
- Team name and logo (vector SVG or high-resolution PNG)
- Player roster with names and positions
- Season and year
- Material preference (wood or acrylic)
- Your banquet or presentation date
Coach and Staff Recognition
The coaches don't get awards as often as the players. A custom engraved plaque or framed piece recognizing a coach by name — "Coach [Name] · [Team Name] · [Year] Season · Thank You" — is the kind of gift the parents pull together and it's the kind of thing coaches actually keep.

MVP and Achievement Awards
A separate award tier for team MVP, most improved player, or other special recognition — different design, different material, or larger size — creates a moment within the banquet. I can produce two tiers: a standard player award and a distinguished award for specific recipients, all in the same order.
Team Trophies and Plaques
A single larger piece for the team to keep — the season trophy, the championship plaque, the commemorative panel — can anchor the banquet alongside individual awards. I've produced championship boards with every player's name listed alongside the team record and season year.
Engraved Tumblers as Award Alternatives
For older athletes — high school players, adult recreational leagues — an engraved tumbler is often a better choice than a plaque. A 30oz YETI or Polar Camel with the player's name, team name, and season year is something they'll use every day. I see this used in adult softball leagues, youth basketball programs for the older age groups, and school athletic departments that want something functional.

Lead Time and Deadlines
This is the most important part: don't wait until the week before your banquet.
A full team set of 15–25 plaques with individual names takes me 5–7 business days after proof approval. I need to see the design and confirm the roster before I can give you an exact timeline. If your banquet is in three weeks and you reach out today, you're fine. If you contact me the Wednesday before a Friday banquet, we're working against each other.
My recommendation: Contact me 3–4 weeks before your banquet date. We'll lock the design, confirm the roster, approve the proof, and you'll have your awards with time to spare.
