Last-Minute Custom Christmas Gifts: What's Still Possible in December

What you can still order for a personalized Christmas gift in early-to-mid December — honest timelines, what's possible, and how to reach out for a rush order in Estero, FL.

If it's early December and you're looking for a personalized Christmas gift that can still be made and arrive in time — here's the honest situation: it's tight, but depending on exactly when you're reading this and where you're located, there are still options.

Let me be straightforward about what's possible at each point in December.

December 1–10: Full Options Still Available

This is still a comfortable window. Standard production (3–5 business days) plus USPS Priority Mail (2–3 business days) gets your gift to most US addresses before December 20, with margin to spare.

During this window, you have the full range of options:

  • Personalized tumblers, wine glasses, cutting boards
  • Custom family signs
  • Keepsake boxes and display pieces
  • Christmas ornaments
  • Corporate client gifts if you're still working on those

The design proof process takes 24–48 hours. Once you approve the proof, production begins immediately. Contact me today — this window closes faster than it feels like it will.

December 11–17: Available for Local Pickup, Tight for Shipping

In this window:

Local pickup in Estero, Florida: Still fully available. I can often produce a piece in 2–3 business days with a straightforward design. If you're in Southwest Florida — Fort Myers, Bonita Springs, Naples, Cape Coral, Estero — pickup is the right move. You get the piece without the shipping variable.

Shipping to addresses outside SWFL: Possible but tight. Contact me immediately with your order details and I'll give you an honest assessment. Priority Mail usually takes 2 days but isn't guaranteed. If your recipient is in South Florida or Florida generally, shipping is more reliable in this window than cross-country.

For this window: the simpler the design, the better. A name on a tumbler, a family name on a cutting board — these are fast. A complex multi-element sign with a detailed layout needs more time.

December 18–24: Emergency-Only

After December 17, I'm not accepting new orders for Christmas delivery. I'd rather be honest than overpromise and underdeliver.

The exception: Same-day or next-day local pickup for a very simple item — a name on a tumbler, initials on a keychain — if you contact me before noon and I have the blank in stock. This is not guaranteed, but it's worth reaching out if you're local and truly stuck.

What to Order When You're Short on Time

The fastest gifts to produce:

  1. Personalized tumbler — name only, clean font, one side engraved — 24–48 hours
  2. Christmas ornament — name and year, round or oval — 24–48 hours
  3. Simple cutting board — last name and year, no complex layout — 2–3 business days

The items that take longer:

  • Large sign orders with multiple elements
  • Complete wedding or event sign sets
  • Bulk orders of 15+ items

One More Thing

The gifts that arrive late with an honest note explaining they were ordered lovingly but shipping is unpredictable still land well when they're personal. A text saying "I ordered something special for you and it should arrive by December 27" is better than a gift card. The intention is clear; the delivery is slightly delayed.

Reach out here — tell me what you're hoping to give and when you need it. I'll give you an honest answer about what's possible and we'll figure out the best path from there.
