Bulk Custom Engraving in Southwest Florida: Pricing, Process, and Minimum Orders

How bulk laser engraving works at Palm Coast Customs — minimum order sizes, pricing structure, turnaround times, and what SWFL businesses order most in quantity.

Bulk engraving orders are a significant part of what I do at Palm Coast Customs — and they run differently from individual personalized gifts. If you're a business or organization in Southwest Florida considering an order of 10 or more matching pieces, here's exactly how the process works.

What Counts as a Bulk Order

There's no strict cutoff, but orders of 10 or more identical or similar items are where bulk pricing applies and where the per-unit cost drops meaningfully from individual pricing.

Common bulk order types I receive from SWFL businesses:

  • Corporate tumblers — 25–100 stainless steel tumblers with a company logo for client gifts, employee recognition, or event giveaways
  • Sports team awards — 12–30 plaques, trophies, or recognition discs for a youth or adult league
  • Restaurant staff sets — 20–50 branded tumblers for front-of-house and kitchen staff
  • Convention and event items — 50–200 smaller pieces (badges, keychains, small acrylic pieces) for a conference or community event
  • Real estate agent closing gifts — ongoing orders of 5–20 cutting boards per month for an agent or team producing regular closings

How Bulk Pricing Works

I don't publish a fixed price sheet because the per-unit cost varies by:

  • Item type (a tumbler vs. a walnut plaque vs. a small acrylic badge)
  • Complexity of the design (a company logo with detail vs. initials only)
  • Whether pieces are all identical or individually personalized (a team of 50 each with different names vs. 50 all with the same logo)

What I can say: per-unit cost typically drops 20–35% compared to individual item pricing once you reach 10+ units, and continues to drop at 25, 50, and 100+ unit thresholds.

The best way to get pricing: Contact me with the item type, quantity, what you want on each piece (logo only? individual names? both?), and your timeline. I'll respond within 24 hours with a quote.

Bulk Order Timeline

Order size Typical production time
10–25 units 5–7 business days from proof approval
25–50 units 7–10 business days from proof approval
50–100 units 10–14 business days from proof approval
100+ units Custom timeline — contact for quote

These are from proof approval, not from inquiry. The design proof process for a bulk order typically takes 1–3 days depending on complexity and how many revision rounds are needed.

Logo and Design Files

For business orders with a logo, I need a vector file (.ai, .svg, or .pdf from the original source). This gives me clean paths to trace and scale without quality loss. If you only have a JPG or PNG, reach out anyway — I can often work with high-resolution raster files or help you locate a vector version.

If your business doesn't have a vector logo file and you need one created: I can produce a simple vector trace of a logo from a high-resolution JPG for an additional fee. This becomes your property and can be used for other purposes.

What I Can't Do in Bulk

A few limitations worth knowing:

  • I don't do bulk embroidery or printing — laser engraving only
  • Very large items (over 24" on a side) require panel construction and have different pricing
  • Extremely fine photographic detail doesn't scale well to bulk engraving — clean logos and clear typography are the right format for bulk pieces

Repeat Orders

One of the advantages of working with Palm Coast Customs on a bulk order is what happens afterward. I keep your design file on record. Your next order — another batch of 25 tumblers, another set of closing gifts, another round of staff recognition awards — starts at the production step, not the design step. Repeat orders are faster, simpler, and consistent with the original set.
